Spring: Pencils

Initially, the buildings weren't in the picture, then I decided to add them to give more of a sense of space. I'm not sure it was the best idea, I think that they might have over-complicated the picture. What you gain on one hand you lose with the other, it's all a matter of balance.

Thanks Mariano, I colour all my work digitally and don't worry about your English, it's a lot better than my Spanish!

I usually do any drawing in the old fashioned way, with pencils and do any line work with a sable brush or brush pen. I might occasionally use fibre-tip pens or a crowquill pen but I usually stick to brushes for most things. After finishing the linework I scan it in, do any cleanup and tweaking that's necessary and then colour it.
